The Aerospace Medicine elective here at KSC consists of several components:
- Didactic lectures in aerospace medicine topics.
- Videos on various topics that augment the lectures.
- Clinical rotations at the Occupational and Environmental Health Facilities.
- Hands on opportunistic experiences/activities with medical operations personnel (this may include specific tours,
mission support activities, and application of aerospace principals).
- Self study of aerospace medical research data.
- Project presentation (the project can be hands on or literature based review on topic of choice in coordination
with the project lead).
The above components comprise of a structured curriculum that is both dynamic and flexible.
